Who we are and our values:
Our objective is to increase investor options and build our client’s business – not ours.
It doesn’t matter how many phone calls we make, how many connections we introduce or how many meetings were generated on the back of our research. What matters is if we help our clients build their business and help investors build their portfolios. If our clients don’t build their business and investors don’t build on the opportunities available to them, we won’t be able to sustainably build ours.
It is easier to keep a client than to acquire new ones.
A major part of building our business means keeping the clients we have. Although we are an organisation based on building our client’s business, we are not a “sales based organisation.” Fund distribution is a long term game and we must have long term relationships with our clients.
Honesty.
If our business is going to be successful, honesty will be a key contribution to that success. We have to be honest with ourselves, with our fund clients, and with investors. We cannot function optimally if we are not honest with ourselves.
We realise that we will not keep our clients if we are not honest with them.
We also realise that any lack of honesty will erode any faith that the investors have with us.
Confidentiality.
Honesty does not necessarily mean transparency. We work in an industry where discretion is vital. The first thing that an Orgment employee receives when they enter the office is a confidentiality agreement. Everything that is discussed is private and up to the beneficial owner of the information whether or not they would like to disclose. We do not disclose the names of our clients, nor the business issues that they may have unless they have given us permission.
Integrity.
We will not compromise the quality of our product, accept bribes, or have conflicts of interests with our stakeholders for monetary gain. Nor do we need to do business with potential clients that we are not comfortable working with. Our name is important, this industry is small, and we have to work hard to avoid any compromise.
We are all in this together.
Businesses will never succeed based on one individual. Each and every employee is crucial to our success and without working together, we will never realise the dreams of our individuals or the company. Hierarchy is not a status symbol. Respect for each other and being able to work within a team is crucial. No one wins a war alone.
Long term thinking.
We are a privately held company and take a long term view. Fostering our team is the most important priority. We are very selective with who we hire and know if they succeed, we succeed; both in the short-run and the long run. Without the hard work of everyone involved, we will not grow. Our product is a result of everyone’s hard work. Profits come last: if we have the right team that offer quality product, profits will follow.
